1What we collect

When you open Omegal, our servers automatically receive basic technical details — your IP address, browser type, device class, approximate country, and which pages you visit. When you start a video chat, we process your camera and microphone stream in real time so it can reach the person on the other side. If you choose to register or buy coins, we also store what that account needs to function, such as your login credential and coin balance.

2Your camera and microphone

Video and audio on Omegal travel between you and your chat partner for the duration of the call, and that is all they do. We do not record, store, or review the content of your video chats — when a call ends, the stream is gone. Moderation runs on user reports and automated safety signals, not on anyone watching your conversations.

3What we never do

• We don't record your video or voice calls
• We don't sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers
• We don't read your private messages to build ad profiles
• Signing up never requires your legal name, home address, or phone number

4Cookies and analytics

We use a small set of cookies and similar tools to keep the site working — remembering your session, your preferences, and your coin balance — and to understand, in aggregate, how people use Omegal: which pages load slowly, where new visitors arrive from, and which features get ignored. This analytics data is processed in aggregate and is not used to build advertising profiles. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the chat experience may degrade if you do.

5Data retention

Server logs rotate out on a short cycle. Account data lives only as long as your account does — delete the account and the data goes with it, apart from records we are legally required to retain, such as payment receipts kept for tax purposes. Report and moderation records are kept long enough to enforce our rules and stop repeat abuse.

6Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live — including the EU, the UK, and California — the law may give you rights over the personal data we hold: to see it, correct it, export it, or have it deleted, and to object to certain kinds of processing. To exercise any of these, email [email protected] and we will act on it; most requests are resolved within 30 days. Omegal is for adults only: we don't knowingly store data from minors, and any we discover is removed promptly.
